Program helps Delaware students thank veterans for their service

WILMINGTON — On Monday, February 11th, Congressman John Carney (D-DE) will launch his “Valentines for Vets” program. Over the last month, students from Lulu Ross Elementary School made valentines cards thanking Delaware veterans for their service.  On Monday, Congressman Carney will visit both Lulu Ross Elementary School and the Delaware’s Veterans’ Home to pick up and distribute the valentines. 

Congressman Carney will be visiting the students at Lulu Ross Elementary School from 1:15 – 1:45 p.m. to pick up the valentines cards and discuss the important role members of the military have in defending our nation.  From 2:00 – 2:30 p.m., Congressman Carney will be at the Delaware Veterans’ Home to distribute the valentines and thank veterans for their service.
